Supported formats

StitchPreview is designed for PES, DST, and JEF embroidery files. A preview may show a clear unsupported or error card when a file is malformed, too large, or outside the supported format range.

See a preview

Locate a supported file in Finder.
Select it and press the Space bar.
Use the preview controls to inspect the design.

Colours and accuracy

Some formats, including DST, do not reliably store real thread colours. In those cases, colours are presented for preview only and should not be treated as production thread guidance.

Preview not appearing?

Confirm that StitchPreview is installed and enabled in macOS. Restart Finder or Quick Look after an update, then try a newly copied supported file. If the issue continues, email support with your macOS version, app version, and a description of what you see—please do not send private design files unless we ask first.
